Here at SpaceCraft, we understand that embarking on a renovation or new build project can be both exciting and stressful. Trust us, we’ve done it a couple of times ourselves, so we know what to expect! Our aim is to make the installation process as smooth and seamless as possible. To help achieve this, we’ve outlined some essential guidelines and procedures to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Safety is our top priority! To keep everyone safe, we kindly ask that children and pets are kept away from the installation zones. These areas include:
- The vicinity around our truck or ute/van. This is where we will be loading and unloading materials and tools, making it a busy and potentially hazardous area.
- Designated work zones inside or outside your home. These zones are set up to customise joinery items and often contain tools, equipment, and materials that could pose risks.
- The specific room where your new joinery will be installed (e.g., kitchen). This will be the main workspace where our team will be focused on installing your new space(s).
Our installers are trained professionals who follow strict Workplace Health and Safety guidelines. However, the presence of hand tools, large machinery, ladders, and chemicals means these areas can be dangerous. Keeping clear of these zones ensures that no accidents occur, keeping both you and our team safe (win, win).
Communication is key to a successful project. At the end of each installation day, we will conduct a handover process to update you on our progress. During this handover, we will:
- Walk you through the completed work for the day.
- Highlight any areas that still need attention or finishing touches.
- Discuss any observations or issues encountered during the day’s work.
We understand that everyone has commitments and may not always be available to be on site, but we do encourage you to meet us on-site for these daily updates. This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions, understand the progress, and ensure everything is on track!
Your presence during the final handover is essential. This allows us to ensure you are fully informed about your project’s status and what remains to be done, giving you peace of mind.
Once your joinery install is complete, there are two steps that can happen from here depending on your selected material for your bench tops:
- Laminate or timber tops: These are typically installed on the same day as the rest of your joinery.
- Stone, stainless steel, tiled, or acrylic tops: A check measure is scheduled with our external suppliers to prepare for the next step of the installation phase. We will contact you directly with a time for this once we’ve heard from our suppliers. Once the check measure has taken place, it can take up to 3-4 weeks from this date to be installed.
Once your chosen tops have been installed, the next stage from here is the second fix. This is when your trades come back to site to reconnect your services, whether that’s plumbing, tiling, or electrical work.
If you have any questions or concerns about the installation process, please don’t hesitate to contact us. You can reach your designer at 08 8536 4680 in advance. Alternatively, you can discuss any concerns with the installers on the day. We believe that open communication is vital to addressing any issues promptly and ensuring a smooth installation experience for you and our team.
We appreciate your trust in SpaceCraft and look forward to transforming your space with our joinery solutions. With your cooperation and our team’s expertise, we are confident that the installation process will be a positive and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
Thank you for choosing us, and we can’t wait for you to enjoy your beautiful new space!
