In 2010, Kelvin (aka Joe) embarked on his SpaceCraft journey as a contract installer, leaving an indelible mark on the company. Impressed by his technical prowess, we invited him to join us full-time in 2011, and he has been an invaluable asset ever since. As Kelvin prepares to embark on a well-deserved retirement, we reflect on his exceptional contributions and the legacy he leaves behind.
Initially assuming the role of lead installer, Kelvin spearheaded projects with the support of our apprentices and skilled team members. As our team grew, he transitioned into a workshop-based role, where he flourished as a master craftsman and meticulous problem solver. Kelvin’s ability to approach challenges methodically and his wealth of experience have been indispensable to SpaceCraft and the entire team.
Nathan always found reassurance knowing that Kelvin was diligently working away in the workshop. Kelvin’s quiet and unassuming demeanor coupled with his unwavering dedication to getting the job done right instilled confidence in the whole team.
When Kelvin shares his insights on the progress of our newer team members and apprentices, we listen. His discerning eye for hard workers and those brimming with talent and promise makes his praise a genuine endorsement in our eyes.
Although we would gladly clone Kelvin if we could, we understand that he and his partner Lee have earned their well-deserved retirement. They eagerly anticipate exploring the vast beauty of this country, towing their caravan behind their 4-wheel drive. Their tireless work ethic makes their break all the more deserving, and we wish them an unforgettable journey.
Kelvin’s departure leaves a void that will not easily be filled. His dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment to SpaceCraft have had a lasting impact. As Kelvin embarks on the next chapter of his life, we extend our deepest gratitude for everything he has done for SpaceCraft. In our hearts, Kelvin will forever remain a cherished member of our SpaceCraft family.
Kelvin’s remarkable skill set and experience set a benchmark within SpaceCraft, and finding someone with a similar skill set will be like finding a needle in a haystack.
Thank you, Kelvin; you will leave a big hole, but you will always be family to us.
P.S. If by chance, you or someone you know, shares Kelvin’s expertise, please reach out to us. We would love to talk!
P.P.S. Kelvin, if the allure of caravanning ever wanes, you will always be welcome back!
