Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a designer to join our fun and friendly team.
Clients come to us for one-of-a-kind designs, so we’ll provide an environment in which you can expand your creativity, learn and grow.
About You
As a Designer at SpaceCraft, your role is to turn our clients’ dreams into reality by translating their briefs into thoughtful design concepts. You will bring these concepts to life by guiding the creation of beautifully crafted interiors that exceed expectations.
We’re seeking someone with a proven track record of working with clients, managing design projects through to installation and finishing. You will work closely with our drafting, manufacture and install teams, to bring projects to fruition, ensuring every project is executed with precision and care.
To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of 2-3 years of industry experience in:
- Developing comprehensive design concepts and plans
- Coordinating with clients, suppliers, and tradespeople
- Managing project timelines and budgets
- Producing detailed 3D sketches and mood boards for client presentations
You will also require:
- Relevant qualifications preferred (CKD, Interior Design, Interior Architecture)
- Excellent communication skills to build strong client relationships
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., SketchUp, Adobe Suite)
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- A valid driver’s license for site visits
Based at our studio in Strathalbyn, you’ll collaborate with our drafting team and highly skilled cabinet makers to create custom interiors that delight our clients. Your work will involve regular client consultations, preparing design presentations, and overseeing installations to ensure a seamless transition from concept to completion. As projects can present unexpected challenges, you’ll need to think on your feet, problem-solve efficiently, and maintain a calm demeanor even under pressure.
If you’re someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work, enjoys a collaborative team environment, and thrives in a fast-paced setting, we want to hear from you.
